Maintaining a Dictionary is a dynamic process reflecting the development of the information needs.
Releases are snapshots of a defined set of elements of the dictionary at a selected moment in time. They collect all elements (including relations) allowed for use at a specific point in time. This mechanism also allows persistent unmodified storage of the releases. Formal Dictionary Change Management Rules apply between Releases.
